Last summer, I stumbled upon a neat walking trail really close to our house. It winds along next to Brushy Creek, and when you walk it, you feel like you have left the city and are back to nature. Since we have so much baby weight to lose, John and I have been trying to walk the trail as much as we can. Plus, we can't forget about Penny. . . she loves going for walks. On a whim, John decided to bring the camera one walk. Here we are on a bridge next to a spring that feeds into the creek. I'm not sure why Penny looks so goofy in the picture with me.
We took Grandpa and Yia Yia to the trail today, and a donkey wandered up to meet us. Penny was extremely curious about the donkey, but we thought it best to keep her a fair distance away. Grandpa and John, however, got to pet her. Next time we walk, we'll have to bring an apple or something for our new friend!
