This week I started my job at church as a Pre-K teacher. I'm going to be working just a few hours a week with the 4 year olds. I think it's going to be a lot of fun. Hopefully, it will also help me to keep my teaching skills sharp.
The hard part is going to be being away from Cora. When I got this job, I thought how wonderful it will be to have some adult conversation during the day and how nice it will be to have others entertain Cora. However, yesterday being my first day to leave Cora in someone else's care, it was really hard! I missed her all day. Cora did wonderfully, of course. She probably was excited to have new surroundings.
So, obviously, I will not be able to nurse on command as I have all summer. Poor Cora had to go through scheduling boot camp this week. She has done marvelously. In fact, today on our day off, she so far has been hungry at the exact times we've been working toward. I will just need to be vigilant on our days off to make sure she stays on that schedule. We'll see how that goes next week when we're at the beach!
