People, Cora is going to be 10 months old on Friday. I AM NOT going to have any more of those pesky baby pounds lingering on her first birthday. People, I intend to prance around her birthday party in my bikini so that you can all clap and tell me how great I look. (Okay, okay, I won't wear my bikini at her birthday party, but you get my drift!) All that being said, John's and my mid-April resolution is to lose 15 pounds each. Yesterday, John started the day by taking Cora for a nice long walk. I spent the morning driving around Austin visiting my interns using my new GPS system. Oh, how I love TomTom and my new best friend, Tim the automated Brit. Alas, the story of my new GPS will have to wait for another day. Since I missed out on the morning walk, I took Cora for an afternoon walk after her nap. We did a little circuit involving all the cul-de-sacs on my street and the street behind me. I don't like to walk too far away from the house by myself anymore on account of the coyotes AND rattlesnakes and lack of taser on my part! (See previous posts.) My little circuit takes around 30 minutes, so despite the fact that I have six swollen fire ant bites on my right foot where the socks gently rub them into a fiery torrent that makes you want to stop and gnaw your leg off at the ankle, deep breath, I decided to walk it twice. Let me tell you, it was great! Every time I passed by someone for the second time, they would have some sort of encouraging comment about me being back for round 2. Fab-u-lous! This must be what it feels like when you are the Tournament of Roses queen except there was no crown or fancy princess gown. . .and there were no roses. . .and I was pushing my "float"
. . .Maybe next time, I'll wear my tiara. That'll really class it up. I'm sure the neighbors will be impressed!

(This picture is not from yesterday, but it's just too cute to waste away in Picasa!)
