Thank you, Gustav!

Thank you Hurricane Gustav for making Cora's first trip to the beach eventful! I have never seen the waves break quite so high here. It's pretty amazing except for the fact that you cannot put a towel or anything, for that matter, on the beach without risking it getting wet or even washing away. Some of the waves even washed all the way up to the dunes. The water was quite a nice temperature, though, and there was very little sea weed. These pictures don't quite do the waves justice. Just notice that in the bottom picture, there is no dry sand! See previous post. . .

On the other hand, the weather is gorgeous. It's hot, but who wouldn't expect that. Look how beautiful the sky is. Hopefully, the waves will settle a bit. Otherwise, it's just the pool for us!
