Dear Lizard,

Clearly, this was your first experience with a toddler.  I commend you for your bravery.  You fearlessly held your ground as the deceptively quick, albeit chubby little fingers came toward you.  Know that your bright green coloring and just-right sized body make you the perfect target for a curious 21 month old.  Thank you for not letting go your tail and forever scarring my little scientist.  You wriggled just enough to surprise the chubby fingers into releasing you.  But, after the shock wore off, you must know that she was pretty proud of herself.  You may not escape so easily the next time.  Consider yourself warned!
