More Nap Time Craziness

Cora is a great sleeper. I have discovered her tired signals, so when I start to see them, we troop off to her crib so she can sleep. Usually, she plays a little in her crib before she finally nods off, but she is always perfectly content to do so. It is a rare event now that we have crying at bedtime. The other day I put her down for her nap as usual. Apparently she woke up a little early and had some fun with her clothing. When she started jibber-jabbering, I went in to get her, and this is what I found. (Side note: She is crying in the picture because she saw me run away to get the camera.) Not quite sure how she managed to get in this position. I suppose she is a bit of a Houdini!

Then, yesterday I laid her down for her nap. But, when I looked on the baby monitor, I saw two big bright eyes staring at me just inches from the camera - not because she had rolled over from tummy to back, but because she had figured out how to get from lying down to sitting up ALL BY HERSELF!! I watched the monitor for a little while and saw her try to pull up to a stand on the side of the crib. This was when we decided it was time to lower the crib! It almost feels perplexing because my little one who barely fits in to 6 month clothing and still can wear her newborn size shoes is doing all these big girl things. It's just amazing to see how fast she grows and learns.
