It's Not Going Well

Potty training, that is! (Yes, she's wearing panties on her head.)

Cora is not interested at all in using 'the big girl potty.'  She'll sit on it, but we haven't had any luck getting her to use it.  Pretty soon, we're going to try the more drastic route of putting her in panties during the day.  I just have to get myself all psyched up for all the clean-up that's inevitable with this particular strategy.  It should be pretty exciting juggling this with a newborn at the house!

She is, however, very interested in her dolls' and dinosaurs' potty habits.  She has a doll that came with a little potty, and lately, she has been helping dolly use the potty.  And then, just this afternoon, she had T Rex change Pachycephalosaurus' diaper.  I guess T Rex is the mommy of the dinosaur herd, hah!  I just hope that this is a sign of interest in potty training and not just some random pretend game she is playing.

After this, it's paci boot camp!  Pray for us!!

Hang in there! It's so frustrating but you have had a lot of new things going on!

I love that T-Rex is changing diapers for the dinosaur family. What a hoot!

Paci boot camp is brutal! I agree that her playing is just warm-up for potty training!

Wow, it's like reading a post about Avery. I'm SO right there with you! Even more stressful is that Avery turned 3 in October. Girl, it's TIME! I got our binky intervention out of the way first and it was easier than I thought. Good luck conquering both milestones!!
