A Little Bit More About Carys

On Tuesday Carys had her 32 week appointment.  It was really exciting for me because we got to have another ultrasound.  I'm the totally annoying non-trusting mom who doesn't believe the gender verdict until the kid is squawking away in my arms.  Honest to goodness, I have personally known someone who thought they were having a girl right up until the sweet baby boy's birth.  So, I was really relieved to have the tech assure me that the little teddy graham is in fact Carys and not Jackson.  The other news is that Carys appears to be in the words of my doctor much "juicier" than little missy was.  Through their best estimate, Carys weighs about 4 and 1/2 pounds right now.  Cora was 5 and 1/4 pounds at birth.  Babycenter estimates that a 32 weeker weighs about 3 3/4 pounds.  I have 8 weeks to go.  (There's a lot of math in there somewhere.)  I'm sure I could somehow estimate Carys' birthweight, but frankly, the thought of that frightens me.  I was told to rest assured that she would not be a ginormous baby, but to be on the safe side, if I have not delivered at 39 weeks, we will have another ultrasound.  And, of course, I will ask to check the gender then, too!
